PRINCETON - Acting Governor Codey announced the creation of a state ethics panel on Friday to monitor public investment in stem-cell research at the planned Stem Cell Institute of New Jersey.
The acting governor said the panel would ensure that science, not politics, determines which projects get funded under his proposed stem-cell initiative. Codey is pushing for hundreds of millions of dollars in public investment in the emerging medical technology.
