Policy Statement on Violence
The goal of New Jersey Right to Life is a peaceful solution to the violence of abortion. For more than 50 years, members of New Jersey Right to Life have marched, educated, lobbied, written and spoken out against the violence of abortion. To counter violence with violence is against our principles.
We have consistently worked peacefully and lawfully through the democratic process in order to reach the goal of non-violence, whether inside or outside the abortion facility. We are a non-violent movement.
We unequivocally condemn any actions of violence against abortionists and their staff. These incidents are clearly unrelated to New Jersey Right to Life and its efforts to educate the public about the horror of abortion. We regret any attempt to link us to isolated incidents, and we will continue to work through peaceful and lawful means to speak for the defenseless unborn and work to help women in crisis.
